Rachel Wilson (Arkansas)

Field Ministries Representative / Heber Springs, AR

What is unique to your role at The Friends of Israel?

As a field worker with The Friends of Israel, I have a unique passion for engaging university-aged Christians and equipping them to support Israel and minister to the Jewish community. With a background in Spanish ministry and healthcare missions, I have extensive experience bridging cultures and disciplines, whether mentoring young believers, organizing campus outreach, or joining ministry teams abroad. I’m especially passionate about helping Christians connect biblical truth with real-world compassion for the Jewish people.

What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?

What inspires me most is the eternal value of each soul and the opportunity to be part of God’s redemptive story for the Jewish people. After visiting Poland and witnessing the devastating legacy of antisemitism, my heart was stirred to action. The Friends of Israel has given me the training, encouragement, and platform to turn that burden into ministry, building relationships, creating awareness, and sharing the love of the Messiah with gentleness and truth.

What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?

Love people enough to listen. It’s not about rushing to give answers, but about walking with others in their questions and pain. The gospel moves at the speed of trust, especially in Jewish ministry. Be consistent, be prayerful, and remember that God is the one who softens hearts.

What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?

Romans 10:1 – “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.” This verse perfectly expresses my longing for the Jewish people to know their Messiah. It fuels my prayers, conversations, and commitment to serve through FOI.

Who is the most influential person in your spiritual life?

My father has been the most influential person in my spiritual life. As a pastor, he has modeled what it means to serve humbly, love Scripture deeply, and live with unwavering integrity. His strength and spiritual guidance have shaped how I view ministry and my relationship with the Lord.

What books have you read (other than the Bible) that have impacted your spiritual life most?

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi challenged me to understand the cost of following Christ and the beauty of sharing truth in love. My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers has been a constant companion in my walk with God, reminding me daily to surrender, trust, and obey, even when the path is difficult.
