What is your background, and what is unique to your role with The Friends of Israel?

I serve as director of Field Ministries at The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry (FOI), and have served with FOI since 2015. I hold a BA in journalism and media studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Over the past decade, I have served in several key roles at FOI, including as an internship trainer and a Field Ministries representative. I now lead the growing North American Field Ministries team and FOI’s global volunteer network, the Tikvah Team.

I host the Gesher podcast and am a columnist for Israel My Glory magazine. My writing has also appeared in Harbingers Daily, The Times of Israel blogs, and The Detroit Free Press. I regularly minister in churches across the United States, equipping believers with a biblical understanding of Israel and the Jewish people.

Living in Michigan with my wife, Elisabeth, and our three children, I am additionally actively engaged in both Jewish and Christian communities, building bridges between them, advocating for Israel, and articulating a clear Christian stance against antisemitism.

What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?

Alfred Edersheim once wrote, "None loved Israel so intensely, even unto death, as Jesus of Nazareth.” I believe that statement wholeheartedly. It is the love the Messiah has for His people that inspires me to love and serve them, too.

What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?

One of the most important things a person can do to share the love of the Messiah with others is just to listen to them. Being swift to heart and slow to speak demonstrates that we care about what others think, and it gives us the opportunity to minister to the specific needs they have.

What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?

Romans 11:11 is one of the verses the Lord used to convince me He wanted me to minister to the Jewish community. "I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles." Many in the world and in the church have a negative view of the Jewish people, but God makes it clear His love for them is eternal.

Who is the most influential person in your spiritual life?

The most influential person in my spiritual life is Rev. David Hill. He was my pastor during my teenage years, and it was his example, teaching, and investment into my life that helped me to cultivate a closer walk with the Lord and a love for Israel.
