Jonathan & Linda Craft

Field Ministries Representatives / Las Vegas, Nevada

What is unique to your role at The Friends of Israel?

We are well known throughout the Las Vegas Valley as strong friends to the Jewish Community through our long-standing involvement with AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee), our volunteer work at the Holocaust Resource Center and Jewish Family Services, and, for the last several years my caretaking of the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial. I’ve built an Ark of the Covenant model and all of the Temple furnishings as I do Day of Atonement presentations both for churches and sometimes for our Jewish friends. Through Teen Summer Ministry teams and young adult internships, we have replicated ourselves here in Las Vegas, as two of those interns are now our colleagues ministering here in the Valley.

What inspires you most to do what you do for FOI?

The God I love and serve chose the Jewish people to be His own treasured possession out of all the peoples of the earth. If I love God, and I do, then I will love what He loves. The Friends of Israel gives me that opportunity to show that love to His Covenant People.

What is one bit of wisdom you have for those who want to share the love of the Messiah with others?

Love must be genuine and not conditional. When you show the Messiah’s love to people, that love must stand whether or not they ever accept the Messiah’s gift of eternal life.

What Scripture compels you the most to do what you do?

“Now the Lord had said to Abram: ‘Get out of your country, from your family fnd from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed’” (Genesis 12:1–3) .

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” (Romans 1:16).

Who is the most influential person in your spiritual life?

The most influential man in my spiritual life is a pastor named Mark Trotter. He taught me the keys to Bible study, and his exegesis on the book of Revelation opened up my understanding of biblical history, church history, prophecy, and how to live in the current climate both politically and religiously.
